Alumni Chapel has become an annual tradition at EC – an event held the day before Thanksgiving where recent alumni are invited back over the holiday break to worship and fellowship with their high school friends and teachers.
This year’s event on November 26 saw record-breaking attendance with over 75 alumni returning to EC to reconnect and share college and life updates. Alumni joined the high school community in the auditorium for worship and a meaningful message from EC alumnus, Pastor Shaun Jacobs-Patterson (class of ‘08).
After chapel, alumni gathered in ditto Student Commons for Chipotle lunch and to visit with teachers. There was a buzz of excitement and joy in the room as alumni from classes 2019-2025 reunited.
It was a huge blessing for EC staff and teachers to hear all about how the faith foundations made at EC have continued to bless these alumni in the various places God has them.
“Eastern Christian played a huge role in preparing me for college. EC gave me a strong faith foundation, a sense of purpose, and the confidence to step into leadership and new opportunities. The values and worldview I gained at EC continue to shape my decisions—academically, spiritually, and personally.” (Ethan, class of ‘25)
We are so grateful to see how God continues to work in the lives of our students even once they have left our halls for bigger adventures. And we are even more grateful when they come back to see us!
