Please tell us about yourself.

I grew up primarily in the Hudson Valley and moved to New Jersey as a teen. I always loved school and knew that I wanted to be a teacher since I was very young. I gave my life to Jesus when I was 15, and at 20, He called me into a life of ministry.

Tell the story of how you got to EC.

After 10 years of working as a public school teacher, the Lord prompted my heart that there was a work transition coming for me. I felt Him tell me that I would be leaving public education. While I had been working at my dream school, I had also been struggling with the philosophies and methods that define the public school system. EC had been on my heart for a few years as my husband and I had prayed over what school we felt the Lord wanted us to send our children to. When I saw that there was a middle school ELA position available, I knew that EC was where the Lord was leading me. I am excited to see how the Lord will use me at EC!

What sets EC apart?

Eastern Christian’s devotion to excellence is evident in everything that it does. To me, what stands out about EC the most is that it is able to offer true academic excellence while simultaneously being unapologetic in its devotion to the Lord.
