Eastern Christian School welcomes McKenzie Paladine as the art teacher in our upper elementary and middle school. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s in childhood education both from SUNY Cortland.
Although I’m originally from New York, New Jersey has always held a special place in my heart. Much of my time has been spent visiting family in both Bergen County and the Jersey shore!
I love all things related to homemaking, crafting, and enjoying the outdoors. I’m passionate about spending time in God’s word and attending church with my family. I’m happily engaged to my fiancé Nicholas and we’re excited to start the wedding planning process!
After completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Cortland, I moved back home with my family and began working as a childcare aide in my local district’s early learning center. Working with infants, toddlers, and preschool age students sparked my love for teaching, and led me to pursue a masters degree in childhood education.
As part of my master’s program, I completed my first teaching placement in a 4th grade classroom at a private Christian school. This experience was truly remarkable, as it was my first time witnessing the power of a Christ-centered education.
Soon after, I had the opportunity to complete my second field placement in a 2nd grade public school setting, followed by a full-time student teaching placement in a 4th grade public school classroom. Although I had an amazing experience with both of these placements, I felt a strong calling to pursue a career in Christian education.
Upon visiting EC’s campus, I was truly moved by the students’ and staff members’ Christ-like devotion. EC encourages students to grow both academically and spiritually, equipping them with a strong biblical worldview that will guide them throughout their lives. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to join the EC community!
