My 2-year-old has a knack for singing, “Rain, rain, go away,” which is often followed by a proclamation of, “Brrr, bye-bye, cold and wet!” I imagine that after this long winter, we can all agree!

Summer is finally ready to burst into our hearts and lives (dramatic? As a former drama teacher, I think not!), and with it, for many of us, come memories of youthful, carefree days and bright energetic adventures. For our children, it brings the promise of fun and the chance to make special memories of their own.

This year, EC has several summer camps and experiences where kids can explore, play, discover, and grow. Put away those mittens and raincoats, and get ready for sports, outdoor adventures, and leadership enterprises!

Check out all the activities happening this summer and the experiences that won’t soon be forgotten.

Eagles Sports Camp

Led by beloved camp directors Barry and Debi Veenstra, Eagles Sports Camp transforms our Wyckoff and North Haledon campuses into fun-filled day camps with backyard games, sports, and activity centers, leaving campers delighted and, quite frankly, exhausted! This camp is all about good old-fashioned summer fun, with activities like kickball, soccer, basketball, kick the can, capture the flag, water fun, and more.

June 25-August 3. For students entering grades 1-8.

Outdoor Adventures Camp

This weeklong day camp offers kids ages 9-13 a way to explore local outdoor activities—from ropes courses and zip lines to kayaking to the spectacular views they’ll see on hiking adventures. This group sets out on a new off-campus adventure each day to explore God’s creation, led by our very own Canadian comedian and musical outdoorsman, Rob Flim.

July 9-13. For children ages 9-13.

Space is limited. Register for Outdoor Adventures Camp today!

Global Leadership: Counselors-in-Training (CIT)

This leadership opportunity is designed to help teens entering grades 8-10 grow in their role as Christian global leaders. During the American Experience summer program, Counselors-in-Training (CITs) will serve as interns in all aspects of a counselor position, leading small groups of international students in activities and participating side by side with visiting students while modeling values such as respect and inclusivity. In this leadership role, CITs participate in focused training and experience to grow in self-awareness, independence, and communication/relationship skills.

July and August 2018 (two-week commitment required). For teens entering grades 8-10.

Interested students may apply online.
