Joey Wilmot, High School Special Education Teacher and Boys Lacrosse Coach

Tell us about yourself.
I grew up in Christian family in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. I spent most of my time playing sports. I knew from a young age that I wanted to teach and coach. In high school I played football, wrestled, and played lacrosse.

How did God bring you to work at EC?
I went to Eastern University where I played lacrosse and graduated in 2012 with a degree in Elementary, Early Childhood, and Special Education. From 2013-216 I was the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Houghton College.

What sets EC apart?
I am excited to teach at a wonderful faith-based school! As the lacrosse coach at EC I see lacrosse as a great platform to minister to opposing players, coaches, fans, and even officials!
