The EC Girls Track team scored 44 points to take second place in the Indoor State Meet at the Bubble in Toms River last Saturday.  The Boys team scored ten points in their meet.  Lyndsey Smith continued her stellar season finishing first place in both the 400 and the 55 meter dashes.  Erin VanLenten placed third in the High Jump and came back from nearly falling in the start to take third in the 55 High Hurdles.  Katie Hefty placed fifth in the 400 and these three combined with Brittany VanHarken to win the 4X400 relay.  In the Boys meet Bryan Lineweaver took a fourth in the Hurdles and Tanner Allen jumped to a third place in the Pole Vault.  Other EC runners and jumpers recorded excellent performance but did not break into the top six places that it takes to score and earn a medal.
