ECMS Welcomes New Principal, Daniel Lazor!

Eastern Christian’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Daniel Lazor to the position of Principal of Eastern Christian Middle School with effect from January 26, 2015.

Dan’s appointment will allow Dick Van Yperen, who has been serving as ECMS Principal since July, 2014, to resume his position as Director of Curriculum & Instruction of Eastern Christian School on a full-time basis.

Dan is a graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing, Fordham University with an M.S. in Elementary Teaching, and Baptist Bible College with an M.Ed. in Christian School Administration. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education degree at the University of Bath in Bath, England.

Dan most recently served as Elementary School Principal at Yongsan International School in Seoul, Korea, a member of the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS). Prior to his service as Principal at Yongsan, Dan served as Assistant Principal and classroom teacher at Yongsan, and as an elementary teacher in the Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, and the Lakeland Central School District in Westchester County, NY.

Dan, his wife Michelle, and their six children will be relocating to Northern New Jersey and establishing a new church home in our area shortly. While living in Korea, they were members of Sarang Community Church in Seoul.
