Eastern Christian School welcomes Nicole Woudenberg as Admissions Counselor. An EC alumna, she graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in business management.

Please tell us about yourself.

I grew up in North Haledon and attended Eastern Christian from kindergarten through high school. After graduating, I went on to earn my B.S. in business management from William Paterson University.

Traveling is something I truly enjoy, both within the U.S. and internationally. I’ve visited five European countries so far, including the cities of London and Paris during a high school trip with EC. I also love being in nature and have a growing collection of houseplants. Dancing has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve taken a variety of dance classes over the years. Most recently, I’ve been interested in picking up pickleball!

I attend Calvary Temple International and volunteer as a mentor with New Hope Ministries.

Tell the story of how you got to EC.

I spent the last eight years working in the fashion industry, which I truly enjoyed and was passionate about. However, over the past few years, I began to feel a tug on my heart and a desire to pursue something more meaningful. I started praying and asking God to lead me to a role where I could serve with purpose and make a lasting impact. Though a few doors closed along the way, I trusted His timing and waited patiently. When I heard about the opportunity to become an Admissions Counselor at EC, it felt like God was clearly answering my prayer.

What sets EC apart?

What sets Eastern Christian apart is its strong foundation in faith, its commitment to academic excellence, and its deeply supportive community. As someone who attended EC from kindergarten through grade 12, I experienced firsthand how faith is woven into every part of a student’s journey, not just in Bible class, but also in how teachers care for students, how peers support one another, and how the school continually points students toward Christ in both the big and small moments.

Looking back on my time as a student, I can clearly see how God was at work in my life through the experiences and community at EC. Making friendships with other Christians played a vital role in my faith journey; having peers who shared my values and encouraged me spiritually made a big difference. I have seen how God uses these formative years at EC to lay a strong spiritual foundation, guiding students as they grow in their faith. Through chapel and everyday moments, EC helped me deepen my relationship with Christ in a meaningful and lasting way.

See what a Christ-centered education looks like for your child.
