Eastern Christian School welcomes Susan Olson as the high school campus office manager. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and media studies from Brooklyn College and most recently held a position as an executive assistant at a hedge fund.
I grew up in the outer boroughs of New York City, including Brooklyn and Queens. I have a passion for fashion, travel, great food, and music.
My journey to Eastern Christian is a testament to God’s perfect timing and provision. When my husband was offered a position at EC, I was working a temporary role in New York City as an executive assistant at a hedge fund. Both of us had been praying for a door to open that would allow me to leave the city and step into a more meaningful and fulfilling role—ideally one in ministry and closer to home in New Jersey. Not long after, a role for me at EC became available, and I knew it was an answered prayer.
What sets Eastern Christian apart is its intentional focus on nurturing not just a student’s mind, but their heart and spirit. It’s a place where faith and learning are beautifully woven together, and students are encouraged to see their identity and purpose through a Christ-centered lens.
I chose Eastern Christian because I believe in its mission to partner with families in raising up young people who love the Lord and are equipped to serve Him in every area of life. What inspires me most is that EC remains rooted in biblical values, even when the world promotes a different narrative. It doesn’t compromise on truth, and that kind of unwavering foundation is exactly what students need today.
You can see God working here daily—in the way students pray together, serve their communities, and support one another with kindness and grace. It’s a blessing to be part of a school that prioritizes both academic excellence and spiritual growth.
