Welcome, Dave Haney!

Eastern Christian School welcomes Dave Haney as high school Bible teacher.

Dave received a bachelor’s in biblical studies and a master’s in Bible at Cairn University. He also serves as the Senior Pastor of Hoboken Free Church in Hoboken, NJ. 

Please tell us about yourself.

I grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania, mainly the Lehigh Valley. My interests include sports, hiking, sitting on the beach.

How has God brought you to work at EC?

My daughters started attending EC last year and we have fallen in love with the community here. We have also seen and appreciate the way the community desires to serve and follow Christ. Teaching HS Bible wasn’t on my radar but I was asked to come on staff as a part-time teacher and after much prayer felt God calling me to serve in this way. I was a youth pastor for 12 years and still have a heart to see student’s lives changed by the word and love of God. I hold two degrees from Cairn University as well as Coach and Hub leader Certificates from Forge America, an organization that helps train Missional Practitioners to share the Gospel in their communities. 

What sets EC apart? 

I believe EC is a great place for students to learn and grow in their walk with Jesus in a safe environment. It is a place where they can ask their questions and build a solid foundation on Christ that will prepare them for the rest of their lives.
