What do you love about Eastern Christian School?
Everyone is very welcoming and kind. Even though I haven’t been at Eastern Christian for a very long time, I still feel like I fit in as a part of the community. I think that I have been able to make long lasting friendships that will continue even as our class goes our separate ways after graduation.

Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite.
My favorite teacher is Mr. Wright. I loved taking his ceramics class and it was a really fun experience. He is very passionate about art, and he finds a way to make his classes very fun and relatable for everyone, no matter how artistically inclined they are.

In what ways have you grown in your faith as a result of your experience at Eastern Christian School?
I have grown in my own personal faith a lot at Eastern Christian. All of my teachers have really encouraged me and helped me to grow in this aspect. It is also really nice to have a faith-based community with friends that have the same or similar religious background as I do.

At Eastern Christian we talk about an education that is “Engaging. Nurturing. Transforming.” How did you experience this kind of education at EC?
I think that at EC, I have been able to grow and develop in many aspects. I have changed a lot for the better from who I was two years ago when I first came to EC, and I feel that coming here for my remaining two years of high school has had a very positive impact in many aspects of my life.

How do you feel that EC prepared you for graduation, college/career and life?
I think that at EC, I have had many opportunities to pursue classes I am interested in, which has helped me to figure out what type of degree and career that I might be interested in pursuing.

What opportunities did you experience at EC that you don’t think you would have gotten to experience anywhere else?
I think it was a great opportunity that I was able to do project acceleration classes for dual enrollment and college credit, it has alleviated a lot of stress with the college process because it makes it easier for me to directly start on my major – related classes in college.

What would you say to a prospective student considering joining Eastern Christian School?
As someone who transferred in as a junior, I would definitely recommend coming to Eastern Christian! My past two years at Eastern Christian have been some of the best experiences of my life, and I think that it is a great community to be a part of!
