Maura Byrnes joined the EC team as the Director of Major and Planned Gifts for Eastern Christian School. In this role, Maura will be responsible for developing and managing all activities related to the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of our major and planned gift donors. Maura will be joining Soo Brown in supporting the Foundation for Eastern Christian School which plays a vital role in financially furthering our mission.
Over her 30-year career, Maura has held a variety of positions in development, including as the Director of Development and Alumnae/i Relations at the Masters School, Senior Director of Development at Montefiore Medical Center, and Director of Development at New York University. Maura has served on non-profit boards as the Board Chair at Young Life, Lower Hudson Valley, and Board Member at Others Trade for Hope. She has also volunteered her professional expertise as a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House and Westchester Medical Center.
Maura holds a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College. Her daughters, Marta and Emily are 2019 graduates of Eastern Christian High School and Natalie is currently a sophomore. Maura, her husband Richard, and their girls are active at All Souls Community Church and reside in Suffern, NY. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Maura!
