Great Is Thy Faithfulness Picnic Recap
Over 700 members of the EC community were eager for some fellowship, and an outdoor gathering at the beautiful, sprawling grounds of the Wyckoff Campus was just what we needed. God gave us a splendid, sunny day to enjoy. Delicious burgers and hotdogs were coming off the grill, thanks to our gracious Grill Sponsor, KJB Fireplaces. Ice cream was the perfect treat to keep cool on a hot day, and was thoroughly enjoyed by our kids, young and old. Adults chatted in the shade and over a game of corn hole, while kids laughed and played on the massive inflatable slide and obstacle course. A talented caricature artist tirelessly sketched fantastic portraits of our kids as superheroes, mermaids, athletes, and dancers. Teens and teachers brought smiles to many faces by teaming up to place cute temporary tattoos on our little kids. Our bigger kids enjoyed basketball, gaga ball, frisbee, and football. We were joined by many new families who are coming into our school community in the coming year, and they expressed how welcome our EC family made them feel.
Our tremendous, heartfelt thanks goes out to our gracious, hard working team of volunteers who served and cared for our picnic guests throughout the afternoon and made the day delightful and relaxing for all!
A highlight of our picnic celebration was when we took a moment to pause as a big family and give thanks to the Lord for His faithful mercies to us throughout the year! Those mercies especially took shape in the loving care and selfless labors of our teachers, administrators, nurses, custodians, maintenance crew, and under the humble, servant leadership of our beloved Head of School, Tom Dykhouse.
God has showered Eastern Christian School with His blessing and love and we give Him praise!
