The EC Christmas Festival is an annual tradition and an amazing experience! Over one hundred students from a Paterson elementary school visit ECHS for a time of Christmas fun and celebration. Each guest is partnered with an ECHS student buddy for the day.
The entire group “Rocks around the Christmas Tree” in the auditorium as the ECHS students put on a show. The EC students sing Christmas songs and carols, perform dance routines and skits, and do a great job of engaging and entertaining the crowd.
Pizza, cookie decorating, Christmas stories, crafts and games round out the action packed afternoon. The day culminates as EC students give Christmas presents to their guest students. Seeing the kids faces light up is extremely rewarding.
Each year, we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with these students during the Christmas season. Our thanks to our partner school, volunteer parents, and Eastern Christian’s National Honor Society members for planning and coordinating this awesome event. NHS members build and exercise their leadership abilities through planning this event and many more ECHS students are able to share their talents through music, dance, crafts, etc.
