The last time that you read the words of my voice, our beloved boys basketball team sat on a pile of three losses while holding one win in their clutches. A lot has changed since that melancholic day. The young Eagles have won their last five contests, beating the likes of Hawthorne Christian, Haledon Public, Ringwood Christian, Elmwood Park and Hawthorne Public. During this span, the Eagles have held opponents (on average) under 40 points a game while scoring an average of 56 points per game. 8th grader and two-year starter, Jared Post, has led the team in scoring – averaging 24 points over the last five games. The game plan moving forward is to score more points than the opponents each game – if the Eagles experience success with this strategy, you can expect the streak to stay alive.
