Girls Varsity Soccer 10/13/14

Girls varsity soccer extended their winning streak to five early in the week by taking care of Elmwood Park 3-0 on Monday and Passaic Valley 3-1 on Tuesday in the county tournament behind a hat trick from super soph Erin Vander Plaat with assists from classmate Brianna Altamuro and freshman Brianne Veenstra. The end of the week saw the streak end at Glen Rock on Thursday followed by another disappointing performance in Clifton on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the county tournament. The girls need to regroup quickly with big league games coming up, including a rematch with Rutherford (with whom they tied 0-0 earlier) on Tuesday night at 6:00 at Willow.
