EC Start Date: 2021Bio:
I grew up in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, located fifty miles southeast of Pittsburgh. I enjoy hiking, ping-pong, reading, cooking, baking, candle making, and card making in addition to watching movies and playing games with my family.
I began working at EC shortly after my family moved to North Jersey. I had just finished working in Pennsylvania and was looking for a new job. I was so amazed and blessed to find that a music position was available at Eastern Christian Elementary School. I have been teaching for thirty years in the music classroom and as a private music teacher. I studied music education (piano emphasis) at Houghton College and completed a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction at Roberts Wesleyan College. Shortly after, I studied classical voice privately for fourteen years with a retired voice professor from Temple University. More recently, I have completed Kodaly Levels 1 and 2 and Orff Level 1. I am a life-long learner and I look forward to working with and learning from my colleagues at EC.
I am blessed to work in a Christian community that genuinely prays for and cares for their students. I am also grateful to work with people who are like-minded – who seek to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
