Bio:

Emily is excited to be at EC teaching 8th grade math! She grew up in the Albany area of New York and has lived in Rochester for the last four years where she taught high school math. When she’s not teaching, she can be found outside hiking, biking, or reading a good book in her hammock.

Bio:

Esther is born in Korea and came to the States as an international student. She has a husband and two children in the family. Her children, Timothy and Jamie, are attending EC. Kim’s family also has a puppy name Hope, and they are hoping that one day Hope would be able to potty trained and do some tricks.

Esther loves to paint and listen to music when she gets a chance. Timothy and Jamie enjoy archery, and they compete nationally.

Esther is grateful for EC, where teachers teach students with mission and love in their heart. She is happy to teach and send her children to EC.

Bio:

Seth, a graduate of Eastern Christian, is proud to say that his greatest accomplishment while a student at the high school was meeting his high school sweetheart and now wife, Taylor. Taylor, an LSW who works at the Christian Health Care Center, graduated from EC in 2015 and from Ramapo College’s Master of Social Work program in 2019. They both enjoy hiking, camping, and playing sports in their free time. Seth, who graduated from Montclair State through the NJ Stars Program, is currently working towards his Masters in Educational Leadership. If not in the math classroom, you can find him in the Athletic’s Office, coaching an array of sports at the High School, or driving a school bus. The Stadtlander’s are members of Emergence Church and live in North Haledon.

Bio:

Kristen is married to EC alumnus Timothy, and has two young children. She has been teaching at EC since graduating from Grove City College, took a year off to be at home, and then returned to the math classroom. She has long been interested in making math a more attainable subject for learners of all types. She has spent time working in the STEAM program and with the Robotics Club at EC, and in her spare time enjoys reading to her kids and going on walks and runs.

Bio:

Ian is passionate about teaching mathematics to his students. He strives to teach in a way that helps students find the joy in mathematics. He loves coming along side students and helping them learn and grow. Ian sponsors the Rubik’s Cube and Board Game electives on the High School campus. Ian was born in Maryland and moved to New Jersey after college to get married to his wife Melody (also an EC teacher). Ian and his wife have three kids, Eli, Bennett, and Emma. Ian and his Family attend Covenant Church in North Haledon.

Bio:

Cindy was born and raised in New Jersey. She moved to Michigan and Montana before coming back to New Jersey to raise her family. She is happily married to Rob Flim. They have four children, Rebecca, Rachel, Michael, and Hannah, all of whom graduated from Eastern Christian. Her outside interests include cooking, gardening, biking, camping, and going to the gym. Cindy and Rob attend Faith Community CRC.
