We take spiritual life seriously at Eastern Christian School. In addition to chapels, Bible classes, and the informal discipleship that occurs between Christian staff and students, we are thankful for the opportunity to integrate faith into every subject, recognizing that God is sovereign over all things.
We actively engage students in the conversation of faith and challenge them to consider a creator God who delights in art, music and literature, a designer God who orders the world with math and science, and a righteous God who calls us to pursue justice and mercy. Our curriculum includes the breadth of creation and people as creators made in God’s image.
Annual Spiritual Theme
The spiritual theme for 2026-2027 is “Transformed” with Romans 12:2 as the key verse: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” (NIV)
A spiritual theme provides the school community the opportunity to learn and investigate God’s word together. We are able to spend a year focused on a key concept in scripture that we can explore in music, visual art and words. We can’t wait to explore this theme together as a school community! Please continue to be in prayer for Eastern Christian School as we embark on this important theme work this coming school year.
Chapel Schedule
Chapels occur weekly on all three campuses; parents are always welcome to attend. Please check with your campus office manager about chapel passes.

All of your student’s academic information lives in our student information system, called Blackbaud (sometimes referred to as our “parent portal”. You will receive an email with an invitation to set up your account. In this portal you can access important information, including family/student directories, family handbook, medical forms, and student schedules and grades.
The login URL that we suggest bookmarking is easternchristian.myschoolapp.com or www.easternchristian.org/portal
You can also find important links like this and others on our website in the upper left corner under “Parents”.
Finally, for the most up-to-date information from your campus, make sure you read the home bulletin email. These newsletter style emails are sent by office managers of each campus every week and include information about upcoming events, campus news, and more. Preschool and elementary school classes also receive homeroom updates from their teacher each week.
This information lives under the “Parents” and “Students” tabs in the upper left corner of our website. School supplies and summer work lists are updated annually and vary depending on grade or specific student schedules.
In July, all parents will receive notice via email to complete several forms in their parent portal. This includes required health update forms, emergency medical contact cards, address update form, etc.

The school has a number of communication channels for parents but the primary ones to be on the lookout for include:
ParentSquare: This is the primary platform we will use to communicate with our parents. You will receive important email updates from the school and text alerts through this platform. There’s nothing you need to do, the contact information used in applying to EC will be used to set up your account. You may sign into your account any time after receiving a communication from ParentSquare to configure personal notification settings.
Brightwheel: Our preschool teachers will send periodic updates and photos to parents through this platform. At this age a lot of learning occurs during play that students may not be communicating themselves. This is a fun way for parents to stay engaged in what happens in the classroom.
Social Media: The school’s Instagram and Facebook accounts are a great way to stay updated on all that occurs at EC throughout the year. From academic program spotlights, to student stories and event promotions, we encourage families to follow us to stay informed.
Faith in Action (FIA), a requirement for middle school and high school students, is an opportunity for students to serve as the hands and feet of our savior. The intention of this program is to inspire community service from a Christian perspective. FIA hours must be documented on x2VOL.

We believe our dress and our actions represent the feelings and thoughts of our hearts. Therefore, clothing and the way we wear it should represent our desire to please God and honor Him. It is understood that enrollment at Eastern Christian School means a pledge on the part of both parents and students to abide by this dress code. A full dress code listing for each campus is published in the family handbook (located under “Resources” in the parent portal). For convenience, here is a summary applying to students K-12.
Clothing should be clean, neat and appropriate for school.
All skin should be covered from shoulders to mid-thigh.
Students may not wear clothing that is immodest or that proclaims offensive or immoral thoughts, language, products or ideas.
Clothing that is considered inappropriate includes but is not limited to (see handbook for more, campus-level specifics): Tops exposing the midriff while standing or sitting; visible undergarments; sleeveless shirts for boys, tops with narrow straps for girls; tight-fitting clothing; pants, skirts or tops with holes, rips or frayed edges, even with patches; pajamas or any garments that could be considered sleepwear; hair colors that are not natural, including tips and streaks; clothing promoting musical groups or individuals.
Cell phone policies vary a bit between campuses. Please consult the family handbook listed in the “Resources” section of the parent portal.
