Featured Upcoming Open Houses & Events

Open House (Grades 9-12) – October 29, 2026 at 7PM

This open house event will feature stops around our North Haledon campus to hear from staff and students offering insight into the opportunities that await at Eastern Christian School. Guests will have an opportunity to meet our principal, administrators, various teachers and directors and learn about specifics in fine arts, athletics, leadership, the Honors Academy, academic & college counseling, work internship program, educational support services, spiritual growth opportunities, clubs and more!

The highlight of this night for many is touring an activities fair with nearly 50 student clubs and teams.

High School Shadow Day (Student Event) – November 4-5, 2026

Prospective high school students are invited to Eastern Christian School to experience a day in the life of an eagle. EC student hosts are trained in hospitality and offer a great introduction to our school’s culture and atmosphere. Although shadow days may be scheduled at any time during the school year, these days are an opportunity to meet other prospective students and will include some special activities, like a student lunch.

Open House (Preschool – Grade 2) – November 17, 2026 at 9AM

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the early childhood offerings at EC. We will take a tour of the campus, explore an overview of the academic programs and student opportunities, and introduce administrators, the enrollment team, and teachers.

Open House (Preschool – Grade 2) – February 25, 2026 at 7PM

This evening event at EC’s Midland Park campus will feature an academic program overview, tour of the beautiful facilities, introduction to enrichment opportunities, and time to interact with administrators and faculty. The open house event is a great way to explore what it means to partner with EC to raise up a child of Christian vision & influence.

High School Visit Day (Student Event) – March 12, 2025

Join us for the day to get a sense of what it is like to be an EC student and get to know our community! The day begins with coffee, and donuts as students (and parents) hear from a student panel. At the conclusion, parents will depart as students head to the “Mary Poppins” musical production teaser. Throughout the day students will participate in three preview classes of their interest, enjoy chick-fil-a lunch and devotions with student leadership and participate in a march madness student assembly. Student athletes may also elect an optional coaches meet and greet. We hope to give you a sample taste of the exciting programming and faith-based experience ECHS has to offer.

The night will feature a series of stops around our North Haledon campus to hear from staff and students offering insight into the opportunities that await at Eastern Christian School. This event will include a time to hear from the principal, various teachers and directors about specifics in fine arts, athletics, leadership, the Honors Academy, academic & college counseling, work internship program, educational support services, spiritual growth opportunities, clubs and more!

Open House (Grades 3-8) – March 12, 2026 at 7PM

Hosted at our lovely Wyckoff campus, the Upper Elementary & Middle School Open House is an opportunity to get to know the heart of EC through the people and their calling. The evening will include a brief welcome/introduction and rotation of stops around campus presented by expert teachers and administrators. Visitors will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with EC staff and students to learn about various programs and opportunities, from athletics, faith formation, curriculum, and educational support services.

We’re hosting a campus tour prior to a popular community event on campus. We invite you to register for a visit prior to the event and then to stay and enjoy the evening as you get a real glimpse of student life, community, and what makes EC special.

Open House Picnic (Grades 9-12) – May 21, 2026 at 5:45 PM

Hosted in our beautiful North Haledon Campus courtyard, the HS Open House Picnic is a casual opportunity to get to know the heart of ECHS through the people and their calling. The picnic will include a brief welcome/introduction with our Head of School, Director of Enrollment, and HS Principal. Next visitors will have the opportunity to mix and mingle for 20-30 minutes with ECHS admin, teachers, and students to learn about various programs and opportunities, including athletics, college and career, and educational support services and more while also enjoying a few snacks.

Guests will also have the option to take a tour if they haven’t done so prior or linger a bit longer to further connect with our amazing and passionate leadership team. Following the picnic, guests are also welcome to browse the EC high school art show and music concert.

Open House (Grades 3-8) – May 27, 2025 at 8:20 AM

We’d love to provide you with a preview of campus life in our upper elementary and middle school! Join us to get a taste of chapel-life on campus, take a small group tour, and learn more through a meet and greet with campus leadership. This is a great opportunity to experience more than a private tour by getting to see the heart of our identity, founded in Christ and alive within the people guiding, instructing, and discipling our students. The event will last a little over one hour (or up to 1.5 hours if you have a lot of questions at our final mix and mingle time).

Early Childhood First Look (Preschool – Grade 2)

With very limited availability in many of our sections and grades, we’re grateful for those planning ahead to the 2026-27 school year and/or in the waitpool currently, faithfully trusting God’s good timing now. More than a private tour can offer, we look forward to welcoming visitors to explore our Midland Park Campus with a “First Look” at preschool and grades K-2. We’ll enjoy small group tours to view the life of our school in action and meet with leadership at the end for a time for additional questions and answers. The visit will be about one hour.

*While students are always welcome, the visit is crafted more for parents to receive a wealth of information about our programs, facilities, educational philosophy and curriculum, and most essentially the integral element of how faith is alive and at the center of everything we do.

Student Shadows

Come walk a mile in our talons! Prospective students may visit Eastern Christian School and experience a day in the life of an eagle. EC student hosts are trained in hospitality and offer a great introduction to our school’s culture and atmosphere. We can’t wait to welcome you to campus! Open to students currently in grades K-10.

Shadow days are generally available from September 25 – June 1. Students exploring grades 1-8 must initiate their application to EC prior to scheduling a shadow day.
