What do you love about Eastern Christian School?
I love the challenge some classes pose as well as the opportunity to grow throughout my high school career as a person, student, and Christian.

Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite.
One of my favorite teaches is Mr. Uitermarkt. He was the first EC teacher I met when i was transferring and he has been my teacher for three years. He is fantastic at holding interesting, educational discussions on class topics and often makes lecture a lot ore fun with his commentary (and occasional squawking). I have learned so much more than just history with Mr. U and I am very thankful for it.

In what ways have you grown in your faith as a result of your experience at Eastern Christian School?
I have become more connected with my faith and I have learned a lot about Christianity on different points of view because I am Greek Orthodox attending a predominately Protestant school.

At Eastern Christian we talk about an education that is “Engaging. Nurturing. Transforming.” How did you experience this kind of education at EC?
Most, if not all, of my teachers attempted to make lessons fun. Throughout my time at EC, I have been so supported by the teacher and staff wether it be an event i was planning or where i was going to college. My time at EC made me the person i am today and i can say with confidence that I am a different and better person now than I was a freshmen.

How do you feel that EC prepared you for graduation, college/career and life?
I think EC prepared me well for graduation but specifically the humanities program I got to be part of in grades 9-11 really prepared me for college. This is because that program taught me research, writing, and academic independence that i know will be crucial in my collegiate career.

What opportunities did you experience at EC that you don’t think you would have gotten to experience anywhere else?
In my anatomy class, we watched a live triple bypass surgery. That was amazing to me, especially given my goals of surgery.

What would you say to a prospective student considering joining Eastern Christian School?
I would say that EC really has all the tools and opportunities that will support you in life but you have to be willing to do the work and strive for excellence with your own abilities and the school’s support.

See what a Christ-centered education looks like for your child.
