Eastern Christian School Community,
Thank you very much for the kind words and gestures of encouragement that you have passed onto the members of our team since last night when we shared the news of the need to move from our school buildings for a period of remote instruction. The following quote from one of our parents is just a sample of the sort of encouraging messages that we have received throughout the day today.
“Praying for you and everyone at EC as you make decisions and do a final sprint to set everything up. You’re doing very good and really important work. Keep pushing!”
-EC Parent
As we transition into our remote learning plan, please consider the following important details:
While we do not know how long we will be operating remotely, it is our plan to return to campus as soon as we are safely able to do so. The week of April 6-10 will remain spring break. Remote instruction will not take place during spring break.
Finally, I wanted to share some encouragement. Over the past three weeks, I have been personally amazed at the professionalism, flexibility, creativity, commitment, and work ethic of the EC faculty, staff, and administrators.
God has blessed Eastern Christian School with an incredible team, They have been collaborating with schools from all over the country to ensure our students’ learning is not compromised by this unexpected and unwanted interruption of our normal schedule.
As we look ahead, we know that all of our families will be facing unexpected and significant challenges in the weeks to come. We can only pray that we share the confidence and enthusiasm of our second graders as they praised the Lord today with this song:
Sincerely yours,
Thomas G. Dykhouse
Executive Director and Head of School
