YOUR TUITION DISCOUNT FROM DITTO!

When ditto of North Jersey first opened its doors in 2010, many in the Eastern Christian School community didn’t even know where the store was located. In no time at all, ditto became a very popular destination for shoppers looking for quality goods at bargain prices. ditto was so popular we had to expand the store. Even then, ditto’s popularity seemed to grow more with our local community than with our school community.

Today, nine years after we opened and with more than $1,500,000 donated to Eastern Christian School, many of our school families still haven’t visited ditto and don’t understand the impact that ditto of North Jersey has on them personally.  

Ditto is the source of a tuition discount for every single student and every family at EC.

As stated above, ditto of North Jersey has donated more than $1.5M since opening. Those dollars are the “profits” from the sales of our upscale-resale items. Lovingly received, processed, priced, and displayed by our team of over 150 volunteers, every item sold at ditto brings more dollars to Eastern Christian School. And where do those dollars go? Every dollar donated goes directly to reducing the tuition of every single student in grades Pre-K through 12. That is the ditto discount.

For 2019-2020 the per student ditto discount is about $275.  

In addition to the ditto discount, the work of The Foundation adds even more discount dollars. In fact no student at EC, including those paying exit level variable tuition, pays more than 80% of the cost of education at Eastern Christian School.

But, back to ditto. The ditto discount benefits each and every family. And that discount is only possible through the efforts of our volunteers. Unfortunately, many of our original volunteers have aged out and we are having difficulty replacing them. So I’m asking you to consider what the ditto discount is worth to you?  

Would you consider volunteering just 3-4 hours at ditto in 2020? What a difference that would make! You could sort donations, stock shelves, iron (if that’s what you like to do), or even vacuum the carpets. We can find a place for you at ditto. You will be helping to pay back the ditto discount and at the same time you will join a community of volunteers who find true joy in the work that they do.
