Preschoolers Give Thanks!

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.” – Psalm 136

For the month of November, Preschool students at Eastern Christian have been reciting this Bible verse, and learning the importance of giving thanks. If you asked our PreK students what it means to be thankful, many of them would say, “to say thank you to God.” God has given us so many good gifts to be thankful for! You could also ask the PreK children what they are thankful to God for, and their answers would make you smile, laugh out loud, or melt your heart. If only you could hear their little voices, saying “Thank you, God, for…”

When I read what these young ones are thankful for, it reminds me to give thanks to God for the big and small things. When we take time to give thanks to God, it leads to greater joy! At EC, we want even our youngest students to understand what it means to be grateful, how to show our gratitude to God, and experience the joy that comes with giving thanks! May we all have grateful hearts not just in this week of Thanksgiving, but each and every day!

The Preschool students also celebrated this season of giving thanks by gathering together for a Thanksgiving Feast. We are so thankful for the parents who volunteered to help out and/or provide food for this special event! Our Preschool Director, Miss Baitzel, even made an appearance as our “Thankful Turkey!” Enjoy some photos below:
