Students, faculty and staff gathered before school in the courtyard at 7:30AM on Wednesday, September 25th for the annual See You at the Pole prayer. This is a powerful event because people from around the world gather to pray for our communities, nations around the world, and the persecuted church.  It is a student-initiated and student-run event that occurs around the globe in private and public schools alike. The theme for the year was ‘Broken: I fall on my knees before the Father. Ephesians 3:14.’

The group of students and staff participated in a short time of student-led worship before breaking up into groups for prayer.

“It was actually a really cool event,” said Chas, a high school senior who decided to join the event since he had arrived early to school.

Teacher Jim Uitermarkt said refreshments were homemade from Jim’s Bakery.  This claim has not been verified, but the refreshments (likely store-bought) were appreciated nonetheless.  Thank you to Jim Uitermarkt and the other Bible & Worship and Project Focus sponsors and students who planned and prayed for this event for weeks. The other teacher sponsors were Belen Araneda, Leah Genuario, Carrie Johnson, Stephen Bailey.
