2019 Touch a Truck Recap

Touch a Truck 2019 was a huge hit with more than 800 attendees, largely from outside the EC community learning about our school for the very first time. We had visitors from Bergen, Essex and Passaic counties as well as outside the state. With revenues topping $19,000 and sales well beyond expectations in tickets and SWAG, we are delighted to have had the only sunny Saturday in May so far.

Thank you for being part of Touch A Truck and a big shout out to our awesome sponsors. All our sponsors, big and small, are how we are able to host such an awesome community outreach. Specifically, without the generous financial support of Wiegers Inc., KJB Fireplaces, Russo Development and Veenstra Family Dentistry we could not launch this volunteer-run, kid focused, touch a truck event.  And to that end, the volunteers were awesome with more than 50 showing up to the call. Those leading the charge on the committee, Alissa Leegwater, Ernie Pastor, Catherine Belanus, Kristen Sietsma, Trisha Virga, Lindsey Tuit and Katie Tarta are hugely appreciated as is the support of the ECMS and ECES PTOs.

From campus to campus so many of us are behind the wheel, racking up miles commuting and taxiing our families.
