Adam Culp, Bible Teacher

Tell us about yourself.
At the age of 12, my family moved from Pennsylvania to northern New Jersey where, to our surprise, we would spend the next couple of decades. My parents found Eastern Christian which became a wonderfully formative community for the whole Culp family. I graduated 6 years later with diverse interests and experiences. Beyond the Bible classroom, you might find me exploring North Jersey parks and trails with my family, playing sports with my 3 boys, plucking a guitar on my porch, or photographing weddings with my lovely wife.

Tell us the story of how God brought you to work at EC.
After graduating from Messiah College, I returned to Eastern Christian as a teacher. My health and PE role gradually expanded to include Bible classes. I discovered the deep joy that accompanies a community pursuit of the God who has been in loving pursuit of us from the beginning. This year my family returns to Eastern Christian following 3 years out of the state. At The King’s Academy, we found God calling students to lives of faith and service in rural Pennsylvania. I was inspired by this small school with huge faith, and learned that “unless God builds the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” I am recently re-enrolled at Reformed Theological Study where I am working toward a MA in Biblical Studies.

Why Eastern Christian?
Eastern Christian is exceptional in its integration of Christian worldview into every field of study. This is not just the mission of the school, but is the passion of every teacher I know. The nature and character of God are on display in every corner of the school. Furthermore, students are challenged to deeply know and receive God’s love, and to allow His grace to flow through them into a broken world. This is evidenced by the school-wide devotion to worship, prayer, and community service.
