The winning streak continues for the ECMS girls basketball squad, who recorded two convincing wins against Elmwood Park and Hawthorne. A change of scenery and a more-experienced Eagles team proved to be too much for Elmwood Park, who beat the Eagles by 1 point earlier this season. Madison Wynbeek scored a season high 29 points in a 63-34 victory. After a shaky start against Hawthorne on Friday, the Eagles regrouped and quickly led by 30 at the half. The second half was a good learning experience for the Eagle’s 6th and 7th graders, who held off the Bears for a 40-24 win. Games resume (weather permitting) on Monday at home against Lodi.
