Girls Tennis 2014 Season Summary

Coming into the season I didn’t know what to expect. In fact, the girls were unsure how they would compete in our league this year.  Feeling optimistic and hopeful, they realized a few weeks into the season that they would be a challenge for most the teams they would be competing with.  We ended up with a winning record in our league of 7-6 and an overall record of 10-7 (including a few non-league games and our state match).

I am very proud of what our team accomplished this year, having a few Varsity returners from last year and a handful of girls who hadn’t played at this level of competition before. It was a fun and sunny season, with only our last game being played out in the rain. I am so grateful to have been the coach this year and am looking forward to next year.
