Character Counts: Pillars of EC Athletics

The Eastern Christian Athletic Program exists to glorify God by developing Christian character and competitive excellence in its student athletes.

This mission creates expectations for all EC athletes to uphold the following six Eagles Athletic Pillars for athletic success:

• Glorify God (Colossians 3:17a)
• Strive for Excellence (Colossians 3:23)
• Exemplify Christian Character (1 Corinthians 6:19b-20)
• Run the Race to Win (1 Corinthians 9:24b)
• Compete as One (Philippians 2:4)
• Be Committed (1 John 2:5b)

We are proud to have recently publicly posted this mission and these pillars across all three campuses in athletic spaces as constant reminders of how Eagles measure success.
