The wet weather washed away a big game with rival Pompton Lakes this week, but not before the girls dominated Manchester from start to finish with a 4-0 win in the rematch of a game that went to overtime earlier in the season. A nice Monday afternoon crowd was on hand to celebrate win #400 for coach Veenstra including many alumni players and former assistants. They enjoyed a fine display of passing and teamwork and the first half hat trick of Erin Vander Plaat. Lyndsey Smith moved up to forward for the last 10 minutes and notched the final goal. A busy week ahead includes games with Holy Angels at home on Monday, at Garfield on Tuesday, and the much anticipated rematch at Hawthorne on Thursday.
