Girls Varsity Tennis Weekly Update 10/13-10/17

We started off the week with the potential of having to play four matches in a row but ended with two matches between Rutherford and Pompton Lakes. We took a sad loss against Rutherford because our first singles, Blair Bohuny, is playing injured with a terrible bruise on her left hand which is very painful for her to hit back hands and limited her performance. Rachel took her second win against Rutherford at third singles, and Caitlin Shurminsky came back to defeat her victor from our last face off vs Rutherford

As for Pompton we agreed to do pro-sets to 8 down the line in order to get them in before it rained. Blair had to forfeit because of her hand injury and our only win that day was Rachel holding her ground against a skilled senior to take a win at third singles.

We were able to celebrate our seniors Blair Bohuny and Mengying Xing on Friday after school with the team. We finish out this week Tuesday, October 21 vs Glen Rock and on Wednesday October 22 we travel to take on Lakeland.

What a beautiful season we have had!
