Girls Varsity Soccer Recap 9/28/14

The girls varsity soccer team lost a hard fought 1-0 decision to rival Pompton Lakes on Tuesday night in front of nice crowd at Willow. The defense, led by senior captain Lyndsey Smith and sophomore goalkeeper Brooke Van Lenten kept it close. Super soph Erin Vander Plaat and the attack created several great chances that were just inches away but alas, not meant to be. The girls had the remainder of the week to heal, regroup and recharge for a busy four game week coming up, culminating with a county tournament matchup on Saturday afternoon vs Passaic Valley at Willow.
