2011 Alumnus Scott De Jong Drafted by L.A. Dodgers

History in Eastern Christian Athletics was made the other night as graduate and former baseball player Scott De Jong was selected in the Major League Baseball draft. Scott signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers and has left to join one of their minor league teams.

Scott graduated in 2011 and played four years of baseball at Eastern Christian. Most recently, Scott was playing at Felician College where this past season he was named Player of the Year in the conference. He batted .374 with 26 extra-base hits, 45 runs scored and 10 stolen bases and 7 home runs.
