Two EC Student Athletes Honored for Sportsmanship

On Wednesday, May 28, the North Jersey Interscholastic League held their 4th Annual Sportsmanship Luncheon at the Chart House in Weehawken. Over 140 Athletic Directors, athletes and guests gathered to honor those athletes from each member school that were nominated for outstanding sportsmanship. Each of the 36 member schools honored one female and one male senior athlete. Eastern Christian honored Bethany Kuiken and Matthew Van Eck for their leadership in sportsmanship for the 2013-2014 school year.

In addition the NJIC honored four Athletic Directors as Athletic Directors of the Year in the NJIC. The Eastern Christian Athletic Director received this honor for the second year in a row for his work, dedication and leadership in the league. Eastern Christian also received an NJIC Sportsmanship Banner for being Disqualification Free. Congratulations to all three Eastern Christian honorees and to the Eastern Christian Athletic Department for the banner award.
