EC and Lexington Christian StudentsMs. Mary Bulger, director of Lexington Christian Academy’s select vocal ensemble, led her students on a tour to Philadelphia and stopped to spend the day celebrating music at the Eastern Christian campuses. In one month, Eastern Christian Honors Choir will tour the Boston area and spend the morning at LCA.

The combined choirs from LCA and our very own EC Honors choir sang at all three campuses Monday, April 14th. These performances featured the middle school orchestra, the 5&6 choir, a song from the 4th grade musical and two songs from 3rd grade chapel singers.

The Honors Choir and the LCA Choir performed a collaborative piece titled “Go the Distance” from Hercules. Rehearsal, which was only 30 minutes prior to the first performance at the high school campus, was a great time of joy and celebration of God’s blessings as EC students joined harmoniously with fellow Christian peers from many miles away. Some musical numbers included: LCA’s “Finland” from “Spamalot”, ECHC’s “James Bond Theme Song”, 5&6 “123, Count on Me”, Orchestra’s “Colors of the Wind”, and the 4th graders “Tale of a Whale”.

Look out for Honors Choir’s last tour-fundrasier of this school year featuring the 50’s and Grease favorites, hosted at Applebees on April 26th. Come and enjoy a short stack of pancakes for a tall cause while Honors Choir members host, serve and serenade you! It will be fun for the whole family!
