After School

The Eastern Christian After School program is open to all Eastern Christian students in *preschool through 8th grade. The program is located at the ECES & ECMS campus. Students stay on their campus after the school day ends.  (*Note: Preschoolers must be fully potty trained and not need any assistance in the bathroom to attend the program.)

The After School program runs daily from 3:00-6:00 pm. The cost is $10.50 per child hour and $15.75 per hour for 2 or more children from the same family. Families are billed by EC in two week periods. Students may attend on a regular scheduled basis or as a “drop in” as the need arises. The After School program is divided up into half hour segments including: outdoor or gymnasium activities, snack and homework, free choice and group activities.

The After School Program offers enrichment activities at an additional cost.Varying clubs are offered each season throughout the school year and have included such things as Sports Club, Cooking Club and Art Lessons.  All of the current enrichment activities we offer are explained below.  Instrument lessons are available on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for $40/session. An After School Program is offered on both our Elementary and Middle School Campus.  To register your child, please fill out the appropriate form.  Use this link to register your child if you plan on sending them for specific week days or on a drop-in basis throughout the school year.  Do not use this link to register your child for clubs or music lessons, there is a separate registration for those below.

Fall After School Club Information.

Who would think learning important STEM concepts would be fun? The physics of flying is made simple and enjoyable with Hobby Quest’s Airplane Pilots.  You’ll learn the science of how to build and actually fly our all-new, high-soaring models.  How far will yours go? How high will it climb? Why does it fly? This fall will be packed with tons of building and flying fun and you’ll learn a great deal too!  Have a seat and prepare for takeoff by making Airplane Pilots your next science adventure.  It’s Physics! Build it! Fly it!  Keep it!

Come be a part of an exciting interactive drum class led by Eastern Christian parent, Jaimeo Brown.  This club gives students the opportunity to have fun while developing focus and concentration. The students will learn rhythms from all around the world that require teamwork and leadership skills. Students will be a part of a performance on the last day of class at the end of the eight week session.

Musical Theater ($75)

Love to perform?! This theatrical performance club engages students specifically through musical theater and elements of choreography.  Actors learn ~2 musical selection (songs/shows based on registration participants); students actors will infuse drama with musical performance that will culminate with a Performance to showcase their learnings and experience on The Last Day of Club! Participation in the arts improves self-esteem, encourages collaborative work, and serves as a positive vehicle for personal self-expression.  As students learn more about musical theater, they will learn skills that will aid them in various areas of their lives.  Come and join this exciting opportunity to become a ‘triple threat’ by developing your skills in acting, dance, and voice!

Soccer Club ($70)

Eastern Christian Middle School’s boys soccer coach, Ben Kuiken, will be leading a soccer club.  Students will develop their skills in dribbling, defense and offense moves, passing, shooting, ball control, and team development. Participation in this club helps prepare students for EC athletic opportunities in the future.

Baking Battle of the Week ($95)

(peanut & tree nut free) Come be a part of CHEF IT UP 2 GO’s Battle of the Week.  Each class will be a different themed battle such as cupcake battle, homemade dough battle, food science battle, board game battle, & more! You will work with a team to brainstorm and create a winning creation.  To add to the suspense we keep the ingredients a secret until you are ready to battle it out.  Come with a hunger for food and competition! (Note: this class will be using gluten and dairy).

Photography Club ($90)

Join the ECMS photography club, led by professional photographer Stephanie Tanis, as we learn about how to see the world in a new way through taking photos.  Students will learn how to compose their photos and use Mac computer software to edit their final copies.  Students will learn how to get the best shot of their subject.  The best camera is the one you have, so students will be permitted to use their cell phone as cameras for this club.  If you do not have a cell phone or a camera, one will be provided during class each week.

After School Music Lessons


Bring out the musician in your child as they take lessons taught by well-qualified instructors.  Piano lessons will lay the foundation for all further music study, violin students can get a head start on the Violin program at their school, and guitar students can begin to learn the basics of melody and chords that are essential for solo performance or accompaniment. All instrumental instruction will provide that one-on-one attention needed to take your child’s playing to the next level!  All music students end each school year by performing in a music concert.  Come and start a musical journey that will last a lifetime! session.

  • Where: Eastern Christian Elementary or Middle School
  • When: one day of the week through the whole year.
  • Who: K-8th Grade
  • Available Timeslots: 3:00 PM-6:00 PM (30 Minute Lessons)
  • Cost: $40 for a half hour lesson.  Payments of cash or check go to the After School Director.  Payments will be collected in semesters.  See registration form for details.
