What combines exercise, music, rhythmics, creativity, teamwork and the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience? EC JUMPSTREET, our jump rope club! If you saw Mrs. Veenstra’s group perform at last year’s community night you already know how much fun this can be! This year the team will go to new heights!  Come jump at the chance to be part of the action this winter! Basic jump rope skills required for joining. Come learn double dutch and other creative ways to jump rope! Students will perform at the Community Night during the Halftime show at the Varsity basketball game on Friday, February 8th! Min: 8, Max: 15 per group. Cost: $70.

Hola! Get ready to dive into Spanish culture by developing a love for the language. As they learn new vocabulary, students will explore different aspects of Spanish culture in music, dance, food, sports, and crafts. Studies show that the younger children are when they begin learning a new language, the better and easier they learn to become multilingual in a growing global society.  Fun and learning?! What more can we say… Join us, Vamos! Min: 8, Max: 16. Cost: $80 ($70 + $10 supply fee).

Lyrical Dance

Monday, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Grades K-4

Come join our liturgical dance group! Students will learn about rhythm and how to move to music. The club, taught by Mrs. Blands-Pearson, will focus on expressing praises to our Heavenly Father. We will create a dance to share during chapel towards the end of the club. Come use your talents to glorify God through dance! Min: 8, Max: 24. Cost: $105 ($100 + $5 supply fee).

Fun in fitness is the best way to expend that pent up energy and to provide kids a great outlet for getting out the wiggles without even noticing they’re exercising! From traditional sports, like basketball and soccer, to favorite games, like freeze tag and scooter activities, students will build confidence and join in the joys of teamwork. Min: 8, Max: 16. Cooking Creations

Want to become a pro in the kitchen? Join the club led by Mrs. Mackwan where you can eat what you create! Each class, students will focus on a different recipe. You will learn life skills while spending quality time together. You will love the whole process of adding ingredients together, creating something unique, and tasting the finish product. Cooking club is designed to spark a love of good food in kids! Everything is fun, learning-filled, easy to use, and absolutely delicious.  Come join the fun and explore a variety of different foods. This club is nut free, but will include gluten and diary.  Min: 8, Max: 12. Cost: $125 ($100 + $25 supply fee).

Creative Characters

Interested in learning to draw through the art of storytelling? Come join the club taught by elementary teacher, Ms. Tilli, which will focus on the basics of drawing. Each week, students will explore a childhood story with some of their favorite characters and learn how to draw them! We will illustrate characters such as Gerald & Piggie, the Pigeon, No, David, Pete the Cat, and many more! Your child will be excited to express their creativity as they become the illustrator of their favorite characters. Come illustrate with us! Min: 8, Max: 24. Cost: $105 ($100 + $5 supply fee).

Vamos a Hablar Español!

Thursday, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Get ready to dive into Spanish culture and language! Students will be able to learn basic useful parts of the language as how to greet, how to introduce themselves, alphabet, vocabulary words, and phrases. We will learn through videos, games, songs, crafts and most importantly having everyone involved through a lot of participation! The goal is for students to have fun while learning so they can develop a love for the language and respect for a culture they might not know anything about! Studies show that the younger children are when they begin learning a new language, the better and easier they learn to become multilingual in a growing global society. Come join the club focused on exploring the deep culture surrounding another language! Min: 8, Max: 16. Cost: $110 ($100 + $10 supply fee).
