Eastern Christian Schools were established in 1892 and have a long tradition of strong academic programs and high standards. Eastern Christian High School provides the following:

  • Strong university placement with 100% of international students who go on to college
  • Dual Enrollment Program allowing students to earn college credit while still in high school
  • Individualized academic counseling (4-Year Plan)
  • Rigorous college preparation
  • Customized university counseling, which includes advice and assistance on standardized testing, essay writing, and extra-curricular activities
  • ESL support, which includes diagnostic testing, ESL reading and writing instruction in small classes. ESL classes have an average student to teacher ratio of 8:1.
  • Additional individual tutoring in academics or test preparation is readily available
  • All classroom teachers are trained in meeting the academic and cultural needs of non-native English language speakers. Eastern Christian School features qualified teachers with teaching degrees. Over 60% hold advanced degrees.
  • International Student Advisor and other faculty members travel annually to meet with international student families and educational consultants to maintain close, personal connections between the school, parents and/or agents
  • Personal meetings with International Student Advisor to counsel and assist international students with high school life, college plans/preparations as well as extra-curricular clubs, field trips, and guidance on social, academic and cultural adjustment
  • Extensive opportunities for involvement in extracurricular activities, including technology, athletics, music, and drama
  • Parent information portal system which allows parents to access student grades and assignments at any time. It is available in over 100 languages. 
  • A 7th and 8th grade program, which helps students acquire English and acclimate to an American educational and cultural setting. Starting Eastern Christian in 7th and 8th grade is highly encouraged as it provides students with a strong English, academic and cultural foundation before starting high school. We proudly offer specialized, nurturing home stays that understand the unique needs that younger middle school aged students have.
