What do you love about Eastern Christian School?
“What I love most about EC is the warm atmosphere, friendly students, and great teachers.”
Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite:
“One of my favorite teachers is Mr. Veenstra who teaches P.E. and Health. Mr. Veenstra’s cool personality and straightforward teaching helps students learn so much about the marvels of the human body, sports, and personal fitness/health. He encourages students to re-evaluate their lifestyle, and gives life lessons from a Christian worldview that will impact them in and outside the classroom.”
In what ways have you grown in your faith as a result of your experience at Eastern Christian School?
“I have been able to grow in my faith through the worship and messages in weekly chapels, Bible class, and the integration of prayer in the classroom everyday.”
How do you experience an education that is engaging, nurturing and transforming at EC?
“The rigor and learning that takes place in the Humanities program, the music program, the caring teachers, and opportunities to grow spiritually, physically and mentally all clearly portray an education that is engaging, nurturing and transforming.”
How do you feel that EC is preparing you for graduation, college and life? What are your plans after you graduate?
“For the almost two years I have been in the Humanities program, I can clearly see the unique integration of literature and history, academic rigor, and warm atmosphere are preparing me for college and beyond. In combination with other classes, I will be prepared to pursue my goal of going to medical school and becoming a doctor.”
