What do you love about Eastern Christian School?
“What I love about Eastern Christian School is that we have experienced and learned many new things and activities. All my teachers prepare new activities that we can learn easy and have fun in the classes. In M.A.D (“Make A Difference”) class every Thursday, we do many different activities that we can help for New Hope. I feel like I am really helping others who need God’s love. In a small group, we understand more about our God through many activities that are related and can apply to a real life.”
Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite:
“One of my favorite teachers is Mrs. Breur who has been my reading teacher as well as my homeroom teacher. Before I came to Eastern Christian School, I didn’t read many books, but now I love reading books and my reading class. She recommends good books for us to read, and she is so nice and kind. She also tells us good stories about God in every devotion in the morning.”
In what ways have you grown in your faith as a result of your experience at Eastern Christian School?
“Before I came to Eastern Christian School, I hadn’t learned about the gospels and the bible. At EC, I learn new things about the gospels and God every time in Bible class, and also in chapel. I also feel God’s love here. I also pray everyday and now, I understand more about the gospels and God. These things have helped me to grow my faith.”
The Eastern Christian tagline is “Engaging. Nurturing. Transforming.” How do you experience an education that is engaging, nurturing and transforming at EC?
“I have had CVC (Core Values & Characters) class with Mr.Culp who is a principal of Eastern Christian Middle School. In CVC, I have understand more about the core values—Seek Truth, Exhibit Compassion, Embrace Community, Develop Responsibility, Strive for Excellence and Serve Others. We also have tried new things that we have never experienced before.”
How do you feel that EC is preparing you for graduation, college and life? What are your plans after you graduate?
“EC teachers give us new projects and assignments especially for 8th graders to help us preparing for high school. Everything that I am doing at EC helps me to prepare for my life. I don’t know my plans after I graduate, but my experience at EC is a great experience in my life.
I like all the teachers and students at EC. When I first came to EC, everything was new and different, but I have done well because of my friends and the teachers. Everyone is friendly and nice at EC.”
