Elijah, Grade 6, Began at Eastern Christian in Grade 2

What do you love about Eastern Christian School?
What I love about EC is how the whole community is caring toward each other. When we’re hurt, the people around us are there for us.

Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite:
One of my favorite teachers is Mr. Kuiken, because he is always positive toward things, and I can tell that he has a very strong faith in God.

In what ways have you grown in your faith as a result of your experience at Eastern Christian School?
Eastern Christian has answered many of the questions I’ve had about the Bible, and has helped me grow a new perspective on Him.

The Eastern Christian tagline is “Engaging. Nurturing. Transforming.” How do you experience an education that is engaging, nurturing and transforming at EC?
The teachers at EC are one of the many things I think we can take pride in. The teachers are always able to help us understand wat we are learning by engaging us in different activities. They are also very caring toward the community, and are always kind and nurturing, whether in school, or out of school. The combination of these two things really help transform us into better people!

How do you feel that EC is preparing you for graduation, college and life? What are your plans after you graduate?
I can tell that EC is helping me grow not only mentally and physically, but also spiritually! Though I will need the first two things for college and life, God is the most important thing, and though I’m not sure where my future leads me to, I know that if I rely on God’s strength, and not mine, He will lead me down the right path.

Is there anything else you would like to share about the time you have spent at EC so far? Though some people do not enjoy school, and would want it to end, I have really enjoyed EC, and enjoy going to it! We’re not like those boring schools that you see on movies and whatnot. We are a community that, along with learning school concepts, is loving towards each other, grows in God, and has fun!
