Eastern Christian School welcomes Sebastian Olukun

Eastern Christian School welcomes Sebastian Olukun as senior accountant.

Sebastian holds a bachelor’s in radio, television and film from Rutgers University and a master’s in entertainment business from Full Sail University. Prior to coming to Eastern Christian School, she worked at Mustard Seed School as director of business and operations.

Please tell us about yourself.

I am delighted to join the Eastern Christian staff after building careers in the entertainment and finance industries and serving 18 years in Christian education administration.

I am a “foodie” who enjoys cooking and perfecting my sourdough baking skills. I possess an entrepreneurial spirit and love books, independent music, art, film, fashion and discovering new artists in these disciplines. Fun Fact: I am a former, professional vocalist and performer!  

Currently, I live in Jersey City where I attend services at Better Life Ministries and am the proud mom of my adult daughter, Jabari.

Tell the story of how you got to EC?

Before joining EC I served for 18 years at Mustard Seed School where my last role was director of business and operations. I believe that it is divinely intended for me to be here at EC as there were other opportunities for which I was well suited but, for some reason or another, did not work out or simply did not “feel right.” However, after the initial conversations, I know EC was where the Lord was leading me to be and I am thrilled to be here! 

What sets EC apart?

I believe that while Christ died for all and that we are each, as we are, invited and encouraged to accept the gift of salvation that the work on the cross presents, there is a standard to be held. I believe EC holds to that standard for its students, families and staff as well.
