Please tell us about yourself.
Born in South Korea, I grew up in NY and NJ.
I am thankful for the opportunity given me to help children grow their creative minds and abilities in a Christ centered environment. I attend Calvary Chapel North Jersey and serve in the children’s ministry. I enjoys watercolor painting, catching up with friends, relaxing at home with my Persian cat Mona, traveling, and spending quiet time with the Lord.
How has God brought you to work at EC?
After 2 years of a retirement from teaching at a public school, I felt God leading me back to teach, in a Christian school this time. I sent out my resume to Eastern Christian and was hired shortly after applying for a part-time art teacher position. Prior to EC, I taught K-7th grade Art for 27 years. I have a BFA in Graphic Design and MA in painting.
What sets EC apart?
I see Eastern Christian as a place for children to obtain quality education that is set in a Christ-centered environment. It is a place where Christian values are shared by the parents and the teachers alike. Spiritual growth of the children, along with high academic achievements, is pursued. It is a place where children are nurtured in God’s love, a sense of true identity in Christ is fostered and their God given gifts are developed.
