School’s done for summer, but that doesn’t mean Eastern Christian stops. Quite the contrary! A lot of good work happens on our campuses over the summer. In this recurring Blog series, we take a look at 10 reasons to get excited about next school year
Stephen Bailey
Stephen has just graduated from Nyack College and will be teaching high school Bible.
Daniel Bautista
Danny began with us last year as a substitute teacher, eventually taking on the role of Media Specialist. He joins us from the Stevens Cooperative School where he taught k-8 Tech for 15 years.
Adam Culp and Kate Culp
Adam and Kate Culp, and their three sons, are returning to us from a 3-year adventure in the country. Adam will be teaching high school Bible and Kate will be teaching high school English and CTE.
Dr. Todd Elder
Todd has been involved in EC as a STEAM mentor and teacher and will be joining the faculty this fall to teach Honors Chemistry.
David Intlekofer
Dave is a product of Annapolis Area Christian Schools, where he taught and served as an administrator for a number of years. He has joined us after four years as principal at San Jose Christian School in California. He is serving as the high school principal.
Steven Knorr
Steven is a graduate of Eastern Christian and currently resides in North Haldeon with his wife and a dog. He graduated from Ramapo College with a degree in finance. He is serving in the business office as a senior accountant position.
Andrea Kroeze
Andrea is the director of strategic development for Touch the World and will be serving as the teacher for the cross-cultural perspectives and service class.
Lucy La
Lucy has just completed a masters in educational studies from the University of Michigan. She will be teaching high school social studies.
Melissa Macy
Melissa is a graduate of Eastern Christian. She has her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music and will be teaching music and violin to preschool through 2nd grade students.
Ernie Pastor
Ernie is a graduate of Eastern Christian. He has his Bachelor of Arts in American Studies/Liberal ARts from Ramapo College. He coordinates retention efforts to keep EC families at EC. He also helps to onboard new families.
Lynn Roukema
Lynn is a EC graduate. She brings over 30 years of experience teaching preschool to EC. She will be an instructional aide in our multi-age preschool class at our new preschool campus in Wyckoff.
Joan Santoro
Joan Santoro also joins the Middle School staff as our new office manager. Her previous experience includes school administrative work in the Glen Rock public Schools.
Teresa Sippel
Teresa is teaching math and reading to 4th grade. She graduated from Warner Southern University and has certificates in elementary education and special education.
Seth Stadtlander
Seth joined us midway through the past year in the athletic office. He is a graduate of Eastern Christian and of Ramapo College. He will be teaching high school math and serving as the assistant athletic director.
Jamie Van Buiten
Jamie is a graduate of Eastern Christian and of Calvin College. She has been teaching at Rehoboth Christian School in New Mexico. She will be teaching high school science.
Susan Vander Pyl
Sue is a graduate of Eastern Christian and William Paterson University. Sue is a registered nurse and will be serving as the nurse in the preschool and elementary school.
Dr. Elizabeth Yoder
Elizabeth will be joining us as our new choir and honors choir teacher. She has her doctorate of musical arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and she lives in New York City, where she also runs her own studio.
Jim Aupperlee – Jim will be driving our Hoboken van 3 days a week.
Jonathan Englishmen – will be helping out with our Hoboken run.
Suzanne VanHousen – a morning and afternoon bus driver.
Miguel Parrales – a morning and afternoon bus driver and bus maintenance.
