Senior Pep Rally

Thursday, June 1 marked the first ever Senior Athletics pep rally which also helped kick-off the 3rd annual SLAMFEST event. A flash mob style dance by the high school faculty helped get the party started before members of the class of 2017 who participated in the athletic program gathered on the gym floor for a group photo. The Golden Eagle award for 12 seasons of participation was then presented to Brooke Van Lenten, Kelly Bosloper and Daniel Kuder as well as the Varsity Club award for most varsity letters to Ben Boonstra and Brooke Van Lenten. Ben was also recognized as our Passaic County student athlete of the year nominee along with Erin Vander Plaat who is a finalist for the county athlete of the year!  Other recognitions included the NJIC sportsmanship award to Brooke Van Lenten and Ethan Vander Molen, and the NJSIAA scholar athlete award to Stephanie Cabral. The pep rally concluded with a spirited game of dodgeball between the seniors and the faculty, a fitting appetizer for SLAMFEST 2017 a few hours later. Congratulations to all of our seniors and their accomplishments!
