A slow start on Tuesday at Manchester required yet another brave 4th quarter comeback from the Eagles. A last second steal and 3 point attempt by Brooke Van Lenten at the buzzer missed as the girls fell, 42-40. On Thursday a strong 1st half vs Pompton Lakes kept it close but the more experienced Cardinals pulled away quickly in the 3rd. Our first ever meeting with Veritas Christian Academy on Saturday afternoon saw the Eagles man to man defense dominate the opening quarter, 22-1 en route to an easy win in front of a large crowd in the opening game of the girls/ boys doubleheader. With two games left vs Mary Help and Garfield next week, the team still has a chance to reach a 10 win season. Lets go Eagles!
