The girls visited the friendly confines of Pompton Lakes on Tuesday and played a strong first half, taking a 2 point lead into the locker room at halftime. The full court pressure from the Cardinals took it’s toll in the 2nd half as Pompton pulled away in the final 4 minutes for the win. On Thursday vs Mary Help the Eagles shooting slump continued until a 10-0 run to start the 2nd half led by freshman Addie Peretti and sophomore Angelina Picciotto broke the game open and gave the girls their 4th win of the season. There is hope Erin Vander Plaat will be back for next week’s league match-ups with Garfield and Lodi and for Friday’s game at Manchester in the county tournament.
