The week got off to a good start for the girls with a well played 43-38 win at Hawthorne. Erin Vander Plaat led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points. Things took a turn for the worse on Friday night when Erin rolled her ankle in the first quarter vs Manchester. The Eagles kept it close into the 4th quarter with strong efforts from Brooke Van Lenten and Kelly Tanis, but foul trouble enabled Manchester to pull away behind 28 points from star player Kadijah Sellers. Action resumes with a challenging game on Tuesday at Pompton Lakes. The team hopes Erin’s injury is not serious and prays for a speedy recovery.
