Girls Varsity Soccer 10/31/14

Monday vs Holy Angels was senior day as the team honored captain Lyndsey Smith and classmate Aleah Neishalla. The Eagles defense started slowly , allowing three first half goals but the 2nd half was better, though the girls fell short 3-1. On Tuesday things were different at Garfield as both Lyndsey and Aleah scored along with six other teammates for an 8-0 win. Thursday was the rematch with Hawthorne and the girls played a strong game, outshooting and outplaying the 12-3 Bears yet falling, 1-0. That’s soccer (sigh.) The girls look forward to the state tournament next week, hosting Lacordaire at Willow at 4:00 on Tuesday in the 1st round.
